At Hawley ISD, we strive to provide our students with high-quality, age-appropriate library resources that support academic achievement, personal growth, and a lifelong love of reading. All library materials are selected with care, following Texas Education Code and district policy to ensure they align with educational goals and community values.

We also recognize that parents and guardians play an important role in guiding their child’s reading choices. If you ever have concerns about a particular book in the library, we encourage you to first speak with your campus principal to discuss your concerns informally. Many questions can be addressed through a conversation at the campus level.

If you wish to pursue a formal review, you may request reconsideration through our district’s Request for Reconsideration of Library Materials process.
