Seven boys were able to take a tour of AEP Texas in Abilene. They learned about the different types of jobs at AEP and how you start as an apprentice and there is opportunity to "climb the ladder".  Students attending had the opportunity to take a ride in the bucket truck, run the digger truck and climb the pole. They also watched a demonstration of how linemen are trained to rescue a colleague trapped on the electric pole due to an injury or electrocution.-Tricia Spikes, Hawley High School Counselor
